Belle Grae Inn - Accommodations

Belle Grae Inn's design is personal yet private. We have five lodging options that surround the dining areas (Shakespeare's Lounge and Courtyard) which are connected by footbridge and pathways. Each is restored to 1890's vintage, each unique, each tastefully appointed with modern amenities.

THE MAIN INN, circa 1873, welcomes guests to the parlor fire, TV and cocktails, and an expansive veranda for sitting and sipping while gazing over the town's Victorian rooftops with its Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop. The Old Inn houses the three formal dining rooms as well as five comfortable lodging rooms on the floor above. The lodging rooms are large, tasteful, have private baths, and are convenient to dining, the Inn's public rooms, and Innkeeper services.

THE TOWNHOUSE, circa 1870, is architecturally a "2 over 2 Valley I house" offering 2 bedrooms, 1 suite, and the Jacuzzi suite.

THE JEFFERSON HOUSE, circa 1860-1870, is actually two townhouses sharing a common wall. Jefferson House has 4 large suites each comprised of bedroom, bath, sitting room, and veranda.

THE HIDEAWAY HOUSE, circa 1895, have a parlor with gas log fireplace, wet bar kitchen and game table, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and private deck for sitting, sipping, and sunning.

The Garden Room and Courtyard are comfortable "play areas" for guests. Board games, puzzles, cards, billiard table and a lounge serving libations as long as you can see the whites of the innkeeper's eyes.

EXTENDED STAYS
Belle Grae Inn and historic Staunton are truly "the center of things" in relationship to history, architecture, shopping, antiques, and theater. The American Shakespeare Center, Staunton Theater for the Performing Arts, and the Visulite Theater featuring mainstream pictures as well as foreign and independent films are located in downtown historic Staunton. Oak Grove and Lime Kiln Theatre, both outdoor summer theaters, plus a variety of lecture series' are available at 9 colleges and universities and institutions of higher learning all within 30 minutes drive time. Consequently, many guests stay at Belle Grae for a week, month, or season. Belle Grae offers weekly "sweet rates" in suites that are efficiencies with wet bar kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, or stove). Rates on request. Breakfast and dinner options available.

Corporate Housing
Surrounding the Inn, Belle Grae offers 11 options of tastefully furnished and appointed efficiency flats, apartments, and cottages perfect for folks transferring into the area who require a home away from home until theirs is identified and readied! Accommodations include bedroom(s), bath, full kitchen, parlor/dining or library, porch or veranda. Rates begin at $40 per night based on a minimum 30-night stay. Full housekeeping is available.

Long Term, Yearly Unfurnished
Flats and apartments are available in the Belle Grae neighborhood beginning at $550 per month.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, PALM SHADOWS BEACH BUNGALOWS are available by the week, month, or season.

"CLANDESTINE COVE" LAKE ANNA, MINERAL VIRGINIA, an hour and a half from the Inn, is a peaceful, quiet, picturesque, destination in a lakeshore woods with badminton, croquet, horseshoes, and hot tub within an easy walk to skiing, boating, and fishing.
